April 22, 2015, Los Angeles, CA – A new video designed to help single women understand the importance of long term care planning and ways to affordably obtain long term care insurance has been produced.
“We speak to thousands of single women who lack the basics and often have misinformation about the topic,” declares Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI). The Association is embarking on a campaign to help create heightened awareness among single women in their 50s and 60s.
“When it comes to long term care, women have a greater need than men but single women often do not have the financial resources to purchase fully loaded insurance plans that many agents focus on,” Slome explains. “Women, especially those who are single, divorced or widowed need to know they can obtain a good plan of coverage that is far more affordable than they have been led to believe or often even mistakenly told.”
The new video focuses on the “Good, Better, Best” approach to long-term care planning which Slome advocates. “When you book an airline ticket, you are given a choice of where you want to sit and while we’d all love to fly first class, coach is suitable for many,” Slome adds. “The very same is true when it comes to long term care insurance. If you can afford a fully loaded policy, that’s great but most people will do just fine with good coverage that is highly affordable.”
The latest video from the Association can be viewed online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiJv6Cgvg-s& and will be posted on the organization’s website where free long term care insurance guides can be accessed.
