My husband and I take frequent trips abroad. Some of the trips we plan ourselves. But we also like organized tours. It's nice to experience new things with others who share your passions. And, for the past 15 or so years we have travelled frequently with one tour company that today really offers something special for women traveling on their own.

This tour company offers great value for single (solo) women and men. Plus, if you are a first time traveler with them, you can save an additional $100 on your first tour.

The primary company we travel with is Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT). OAT does NOT charge an additional supplement for single travelers. Most of their tours have spaces set aside for single travelers (women or men - but most single travelers are women). And, OAT has several "women only" tours with more being added for 2020. We have taken 10 tours with OAT and I will share why I think they do an excellent job.

There have been more than one single woman on every OAT tour we have taken. Because OAT groups are small, everyone mixes and mingles ... singles - married couples.

FIRST TIME TRAVELER $100 SAVINGS

The Small Group Advantage: There really is an advantage to smaller groups (16 or fewer on OAT Tours). Smaller buses can get around easier (and you can get off and on faster).

Active, Intelligent, Adventurous Fellow Travelers: We've found this to be true on every one of our OAT trips. Your fellow travelers can make or break your trip and we have made friends with many of our fellow OAT travelers.

More Than The Tourist Sights:This is one of the things really unique to OAT tours. You really get to meet with local people and learn about their country. To be honest, that's often the most memorable part of the trip.
